The Patwa & Company Story: Five Decades of Rajputana Craft

Some stories are woven, not written. The story of Patwa & Company is one of them — five decades of Rajputana craft, carried forward one garment at a time.

It Began in 1972

In the narrow, storied lanes of Jaipur — a city that has dressed royalty for centuries — Patwa & Company opened its doors. The idea was simple: make beautifully crafted men’s ethnic wear, using honest fabrics, at a price that respected the customer. That principle has not changed in over fifty years.

Rooted in Rajputana Craft

Rajasthan’s textile heritage is among the richest in the world. From the handwoven discipline of khadi to the quiet luxury of Tussar silk, our garments draw on techniques and sensibilities passed down through generations of Jaipur artisans. Every kurta, every dhoti, every Jodhpuri coat carries a little of that lineage.

Two Stores, One Promise

Today you will find us at two addresses in Jaipur — our Raja Park branch near Panchwati Circle, and our Johri Bazar branch in the heart of the old city’s famous market. Both stores carry the same promise our founders made: fair prices, genuine fabrics, and garments built to last.

From Jaipur to the World

What began as a single shop now ships worldwide. Customers across continents wear Patwa & Company to their weddings, their festivals, and their everyday lives — carrying a piece of Jaipur’s craft wherever they go. Delivered, as we like to say, with royal care.

Five decades of Rajputana craft. One unbroken promise. Explore our collection, or visit us in Jaipur.
